Referral Program

Earn invoice credits by referring new users to Krosyn. Share your unique link and get rewarded when referrals subscribe to a qualifying plan.

Overview

The referral program lets you earn invoice credits by inviting new users to Krosyn. When someone signs up using your referral link and pays their first invoice on a qualifying plan, a credit is automatically applied to your next invoice.

How It Works

  1. Share your referral link with someone who would benefit from Krosyn.
  2. The referee visits your link. The ?ref=CODE parameter is stored in a cookie.
  3. The referee creates an account. The referral is recorded with status "Signed up".
  4. The referee subscribes to a Pro or Business plan and pays their first invoice.
  5. A credit is automatically applied to your organization's next Krosyn invoice.

Sign-ups on the Starter plan are still tracked but do not trigger a credit.

Referral Statuses

Each referral progresses through statuses as the referee completes actions. You can track all your referrals on the Settings > Referrals page.

StatusMeaning
Signed upThe referee created an account using your link. Waiting for their first paid invoice.
Paid The referee paid their first invoice. Credit is pending (e.g. the referrer's organization does not have a billing account yet).
CreditedThe credit has been applied to the referrer's next invoice. Complete.
Not eligible The referral did not qualify for a credit. See Eligibility for reasons.

Credits

Credit amounts depend on your organization's billing currency. The credit is applied as a balance adjustment on your Stripe customer account and automatically offsets your next invoice.

CurrencyCredit per referral

If your organization has no currency set, the EUR amount is used as the default.

Eligibility

A referral must meet all of the following conditions to earn a credit:

  • The referee signed up using a valid referral code.
  • The referee is not the same person as the referrer (self-referral is blocked by user ID and email match).
  • The referee was not already attributed to another referrer.
  • The referee did not join via a partner invite. Partner invites take precedence over referral codes.
  • The referee subscribed to a Pro or Business plan. Starter plan sign-ups are tracked but not eligible for credit.
  • The referrer's organization has an active Stripe billing account.

If a referral is ineligible, it appears with status "Not eligible" on your referrals page. Each referral can only earn one credit; duplicate payments from the same referee do not trigger additional credits.
